For your consideration is this vintage World War 2 (WWII) Western L77 Commando Fixed Blade Fighting Knife with the original leather sheath. Used. Made in Boulder, Colorado

The knife is in pretty good condition. It appears to have a full blade, all the leather pieces are in tact and tight, butt cap is tight.

This knife was probably owned by a sailor as he scratched some of the islands he was in on the stacked leather handle.

Steel double guard, Aluminum butt cap held on with 2 pins, red & black spacers.

Tang marked ”¬†WESTERN Boulder, Colo PAT No 1,967,479.

He wrote on the stacked leather handle Pearl Harbor, Guam, Gibraltar & France.

The leather sheath has Pear Harbor, Guam Pannama & France scratched on front.

The guard only has a very slight amount of wiggle.

The blade has some rust spots in the fuller. Nice edge and point.

The leather sheath is the standard double stitched version made by western. It’s also in great condition. All stitches and rivets intact
