A wwII military theatre handmade fixed blade knife.
Used but in excellent condition.
A nice specimen.
The handle is made from aircraft plexiglass with aluminum, red, black and yellow spacers.
Aluminum butt cap and guard.
The fit between the plexiglass and the guard is excellent.
The bright blade is stained, some scratches and nicks along the top edge. It looks like a Ka-Bar blade.
The blade is soudered to the guard.
One very unique item about this knife is the GIs number is stamped on the edge of the pommel. 8704690 is the number.
I may try and find out the individuals name.
11.0″ OAL, 6.25″ blade
The included sheath is a real piece of work. Heavy leather, close stiching all complete, metal piece at the throat of the sheath.
Im not sure Ive ever seen a better speciman of a WWII sheath.
It is in excellent condition. It should be shown in some military knife book. It makes for one fine package.
