Knifemaker Mel Pardue has been making knives many years and his knives are in high demand. This is one of his older knives, probably about 15 years old as he doesnt make this style knife any longer, which I believe makes it very collectible.
This is a beauty.
PARDUE 001 is stamped on one side of blade.
A mid-size lockback folder.
Beautiful pearl scales. Nickel silver bolsters
Persian style blade. Blade has sort of a satin finish. Because of the age of this knife Im pretty sure that Mel was using Sandvick 12 C-27 steel. This is a swiss made steel that is one of the best and many makers still use it.
Most of Mels current knives are damascus. 7 5/8″ open; 3.25″ blade 4 3/8″ closed
A very nice custom folding knife. Never used.
