For your consideration is this VINTAGE 1905 US M1 GRAND BAYONET & OD SCABBARD made by Union Fork & Hoe in Columbus, Ohio. Circa 1943-1945.
Pre-Owned. I rate the condition as great but I know everyone has a different rating system so let the photos be your guide. The bayonet and scabbard are complete everything tight no chips or cracks in handle. I’m not an expert but I believe these bayonets were originally made in WW1 by Springfield Armory then modified by UF&H during WWII. The originals were 16″ and then taken down to 10″
The locking mechanism is intact & functional.
I believe the original scabbard was made by the Victory Plastics Division of the Beckwith Manufacturing Company in 1942 or 1943 .
14 1/8″ OAL, 9 5/8″ Blade, Thick steel guard and pommel.
Black composition grips
The blade is marked UFH on one tang with the ordnance flaming cannon ball & U.S.
