Product Description
Unfortunately Colorado knifemaker Jim Sasser passed away awhile back. His knives live on. He was one of the pioneer knifemakers. Made knives starting in the 60s.
This is one of Jim’s larger knives. Ive owned this knife since the late 70s. Jim didnt want to sell it to me because it had a place on the top edge of the handle where it was thin and a small section of the blade got exposed. I didnt care. I wanted this knife.
Beautiful polished elk hidden tang handle. Nickel silver double guard and butt cap. Brown micarta spacers. The butt cap is engraved with a rose. DW is engraved below the rose. I received an email from this individual: Hi, I saw your Jim Sasser Knife and you were wondering who the engraver D.W. was. I believe that was Dave Weber who engraved several of Jim’s knives.
High polish clip point blade. SASSER stamped on one tang
11.0 OAL; 6.0 .75 wide blade.
I had Gene Davis make the brown leather sheath for the knife.
My Grandpa was Jim he was the sweetest person ever. I miss him dearly I’m glad his knives live on
He was a great gentleman. Died way to early.
