Product Description

This is a Jacques Garcia Hackman Survival Knife USED. Garcia made this version of the Hackman survival knife that many of the troops in Vietnam liked to carry after Hackman stopped production.

The original Hackman was manufactured in Finland. This knife was manufactured in Brazil. The Garcia is shaped the same but it is a lighter knife and the blade is not as thick as the Hackman blade was.

Although I’ve listed the knife as used, it is in great condition. These knives are becoming harder and harder to find. Would make for a great camp or hunting knife.

Stacked brown leather handle. Stainless guard with 2 holes for attaching the knife to a pack, stainless butt cap.

Hollow handle for carrying survival items. A removable stainless cap with O ring to keep water out.

The bright blade has light scratches on both sides. I’ve tried to show in photos but hard to pick up. Saw teeth on top edge of blade

There is a professional looking edge that looks original factory edge.

I don’t know what steel Garcia used to make the blade. GARCIA etched in black on one side of blade, Jacques logo and BRAZIL stamped on the other tang.

The brown leather sheath is in good condition. BRAZIL etched on back side. There originally was a compass that fit in the front pouch. There is no compass with this knife.

11.75″ OAL 7.0″ blade, 3/16″ thick.
