For your consideration is this nice hunting knife made by the late Wichita, Kansas knife maker Eldon Courtney. Pre-owned but in unused condition.
However I got in a hurry and pushed the knife in the sheath wrong and sliced the back side. It wasn’t too bad so I took it to a leather maker friend of mine and he used some of his strong leather glue. He said the glued piece was stronger than the rest of the sheath.
Eldon used damascus steel made by master smith George Schepers (Schep) from Nebraska.
Schep passed away in 2013. He was well known for his damascus and besides making his own knives sold billets to other knife makers. I can’t imagine there were many made like this one
A medium size hunting knife. Eldon used Schep’s damascus and they both stamped there names on the tangs of the blade.
Beautiful dyed crown stag handle. Brass guard. Brass & aluminum spacers. Hidden tang.
Drop point style damascus blade. Eldon Courtney stamped on one tang 44 89. Schep stamped on other side
8 1/2″ OAL, 4″ Blade, 1/4″ Thick
Eldon’t brown leather horizontal wear sheath. He signed & numbered the back side
